TESTING & CONSULTATION

The world of psychological assessments can be confusing and discouraging for many. With my years of experience providing psychological testing services for children, adolescents and young adults, I believe strongly in sharing my knowledge with the community. I provide psychological assessment services, designed to help individuals and families gain clarity regarding strengths and challenges, as well as understand their options and rights in accessing supportive services at home, school, work and in the community. Using the gold-standard assessments for Autism (ADOS-2 & ADI-R) and ADHD, I provide clients with an individualized assessment report.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

I provide individual psychotherapy services for children (ages 6+ years), teens, young adults and family systems.

My treatment approach pulls from the several evidence-based frameworks of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Theory and Parent Management Training (PMT). When working with children and adolescents, I often work collaboratively with their schools and other provides to ensure a holistic approach to their care. Within my work, I affirm individuals of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations and gender identities.

PARENT MANAGEMENT TRAINING

While there is no rule book for being a parent, I work to support caregivers with managing challenging behaviors, building confidence, and fostering a collaborative and authentic parenting approach.

Parent Management Training (PMT) is an evidence-based framework that emphasizes consistency, clarity and strengthening family bonds. PMT focuses on working with all parents/caregivers to understand patterns and functions of behaviors, identify developmentally appropriate expectations, establish authentic and consistent use of language, and practice ways to implement positive praise and necessary consequences.
